Intro to Facebook Ads + Google Remarketing
Karen Woodward (Social Media Manager) and Alexis Howerton (Shoehorn Enterprises) will provide an overview, with examples and specific strategies for Facebook Ads and Google Remarketing. Main focus will be Facebook and Google retargeting/remarketing will be the bonus.

Karen Woodward
Karen Woodward is a freelance social media manager and writer. She engages on social media channels, runs social ad campaigns, creates social media calendars, writes blog posts, and works on strategy for clients ranging from Xfinity TV to the Alaska State Fair.
She comes to social media by way of the entertainment industry, where she worked for over ten years in development, production, and marketing. On a break from the entertainment world, Karen received a master’s degree in Media Studies from Syracuse University where she wrote her thesis on the popularity of Gwen Stefani. While in school, she began writing professionally about television and new media, and managed a website geared to young Hollywood. After returning to Los Angeles she managed the official websites for a number of celebrities before changing her focus to social media.

Alexis Howerton
Alexis is the President/Chief Creative Officer at Shoehorn Enterprises, a creative services firm focusing on digital media. Alexis’ company specializes in elevating online presence through website design and redesign, search engine marketing and social media strategy. Shoehorn has experience working with clients in all facets of entertainment ranging from Bethune TheatreDance, and Hollywood Food Styling to ABC/Disney and the Ripley’s Believe It or Not! attractions in both New York City and London. Social Media Week Los Angeles 
Social Media Week Los Angeles is on the horizon, the entire week of September 19-23, and coming to the breakfast are the executive producer and city partner SocialRadius (Michael Terpin, CEO and Mike Navarre, BizDev). There will be more than 50 events, ranging from keynotes by leading voices in the social media world, to sponsored breakfasts and parties, with all topics focused around more than 25 aspects of social media. Most of the events will be free and open to the public, while a few will be sponsored and free to top thought leaders in their respective communities.
